Carl Ferrero, Candy-Striped Void

Carl Ferrero is an artist whose experimental paintings, drawings, collages and sculptures blur the line between subject and object. Slyly referencing and revealing the process of its own making, his work engages a variety of social, political, and cultural issues.

Born in Vineland, NJ, Ferrero now lives and works in New York City. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Artists Space, The Elizabeth Foundation, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, among others. Ferrero received his M.F.A. from Brooklyn College in 2006, and has been awarded a Pollock Krasner Foundation grant, and fellowships from the Millay Colony, the AIM program, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and the Gowanus Studio Space.
