CLAMP is showing two photographers whose work focuses on the cities they have loved and documented and called home. Meryl Meisler: Simply Scintillating: A Retrospective brings together five decades of photographs, mainly of New York City. From clubs in Manhattan in the 1970s to pre-gentrification Bushwick, Meisler’s photographs cover glamorous nightlife as well as day-to-day life on the streets of Brooklyn. A public-school teacher for 31 years, Meisler began exploring her extensive photographic archive when she retired. This is her second show with CLAMP.
