Amy Elkins is an American photographer known for her intimate portraits through which she explores the themes of masculinity, vulnerability, and gender identity. Born in 1979 in Venice, California, Elkins received her BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and her MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University in California. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally, including at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta; Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson; and the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, among others.
