Henry Horenstein signing copies of new book at AIPAD

Henry Horenstein will be signing copies of his hot-off-the-press book, Histories: Tales from the 70s, at the ClampArt booth at The AIPAD Photography Show on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Writes Henry Horenstein:

“’Histories: Tales from the 1970s’ will chronicle a time when I was photographing almost everything I could find. Anything that smacked of history, especially cultures that might disappear or change, was fair game: stock car racing, horse racing, boxing, old rural routes through Rhode Island and Massachusetts, country and blues musicians in Nashville and elsewhere, and my close family and friends were just a few of my subjects. . . The images show a cross-section of America at the time: big cars, plaid pants, long hair, and all. I hope that this will serve as a chronicle of the past – a snapshot of the time and people who were not famous or rich but were a fundamental part of the culture of the 70s.

Published by Honky Tonk Editions, signed copies of the book (Hardcover, 144 pages, 115 illus., 10.25 x 9.75 inches) are available for purchase for $60.00.

Coinciding with the book release, an exhibition of vintage prints from Histories: Tales from the 70s is on view at ClampArt through May 21, 2016.
