It was a club night in 1970s New York. The glitter wasn’t all gold, and there was enough white powder to figuratively ski dozens of miles inside a random Manhattan club. Photographer Meryl Meisler was there to watch and show us the dancers, the gamblers, the opportunists and the lovers exercising their constitutional right to self-expression in a city always on the move.
