From Muri Assunção’s article for the New York Daily News on September 17, 2023:

Meryl Meisler’s critically acclaimed look at the fascinating world of New York City nightlife – from the heyday of Studio 54 in the mid-1970s to the gender-twisting fabulousness of drag parties in 2023 Brooklyn can now be seen in all of its extravagant glory in the artist’s first-ever retrospective.
“Simply Scintillating,” which opened at Manhattan’s Clamp gallery on Thursday and runs through Nov. 4, covers five decades of Meisler’s photography, bringing together her unique perspective on the city’s nightlife, as well as candid shots of suburban lewish life on Long Island and slices of daily life in pre-gentrification Bushwick, Brooklyn.
