WEST SHOKAN, NY—The Olive Free Library’s latest art exhibition, “Beneath the Surface,” featuring photographs by the Women Photographers Collective of the Hudson Valley, opens Saturday, May 13, and runs through Saturday, July 8.

An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Founded in 2020, the collective offers Hudson Valley women photographers the opportunity to network and support each other, a news release said.

This show features a juried selection of works. It’s the collective’s third public exhibition, according to the release.

Featured photographers include Gail Albert, Ana Bergen, Shari Diamond, Jill Enfield, Lori Grinker, Maria Fernanda Hubeaut, Kay Kenny, Dorothea Marcus, Meryl Meisler, Charley Mitcherson, Susan Phillips, Carla Shapiro, Ruth Wetzel, and Joan Barker.
