From Julie Le Minor’s article fori-D:

Unrepentant clubber, New Yorker Meryl Meisler captured the nights of the 70s and 80s in all their glory. From the unmissable Studio 54 to Les Mouches, via CBGB, this daytime teacher waited until retirement age to unveil her famous black and white shots revealing two decades of parties, euphoria and pure madness. while New York beats to the rhythm of the still fledgling disco and punk scenes. From the bars of Manhattan to the streets of Brooklyn via the suburbs of Long Island, Meryl Meisler’s imagery immerses us in a fascinating era that is revealed today in a Parisian exhibition in the new space of Carole Lambert, at 81 rue du Temple, in the 3rd arrondissement. The opening of the exhibition will be held on December 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the presence of the artist.
