ARTIST

In the mid 1990s, artist Aaron Cobbett became known for his stylized, color-saturated images of nightlife personae, transgender performers, drag queens, sex workers, and porn stars. Going on to shoot over one hundred covers for HX Magazine, his images became an important and immediately recognizable part of the contemporary queer culture.

His work has been shown in New York City at The Museum at FIT, the Leslie-Lohman Museum, The New York Historical Society, and the Louvre Museum in Paris, among others.

Cobbett has published two monographs titled COBBETT (2008) and Super Eros (1999).

His work in photography has been featured in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Glamour, and Interview Magazine.
