Like kids in a candy shop, we are in our happy place at The Photography Show, the annual fine art photo fair presented by AIPAD in New York City. This year, like every other, we’ve been through it many times, traipsing daily through its dozens of long aisles. Founded in 1979, AIPAD’s Show was originally held in The Park Avenue Armory, which it outgrew — it is now housed at the cavernous Pier 94.
With more than 120 of the world’s leading fine art photography galleries, showcasing thousands of works, dating from the 1800s to present day, we always want to spend lots of time, immersing, revisiting, and discovering new ways of seeing.
On one of our circuits, we set out to curate images that featured an element of nature with a unique perspective and exceptional beauty.
