From the post at Blouin Artinfo about Michael Crouser’s exhibition of “Mountain Ranch” at ClampArt:

The exhibition presents works by American fine art and commercial photographer Michael Crouser (b. 1962, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States), marking his debut with the gallery. Known for his black and white photographs which act like a melting pot for fine art and documentary imagery; Michael Crouser started working on photography at the age of fourteen, and worked for several years in various Minneapolis commercial photography studios as an assistant after his graduation in 1985 from Saint John’s University, before he set up his own studio. The winner of the 2014 George Eastman/Power of the Image Award in Beijing, China, the artist has featured in many exhibitions, nationally and internationally. He has also taught at the International Center of Photography in New York City, the Minneapolis Photo Center, and the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
