LR: How did it feel taking the first pictures?
BJ: The thing that stands out to me the most is that I felt this instant sense of trust and openness. I didn’t have to worry about anything, I didn’t have to present myself in any particular way, and I could just relax and let things happen. I had cross-dressed before, but it was never something that was captured so I could see it. It wasn’t really something that I thought of as being possible to capture or to photograph. When I saw the first pictures, I was so happy. I looked just how I imagined.
