From Scott Goodwillie’s post for The Great Nude:

At Clamp Art on 25th street is a stunning show by Indian artist Manjari Sharma who now resides in the exotic locale of Brooklyn, NY.

The front room is devoted to staged set ups of models posing as Hindu deities, while in the back room are smaller more intimate images of various people in their showers. Within the darkened stalls, and often utilizing natural indirect sunlight to illuminate her models, while water spills off their skin,
Sharma captures moments of quiet pleasure as rivulets of water, like streams in a landscape, course down the sinuous lines of the human body. Captured are moments of calm, languorous indulgence in a sensation so common we sometimes forget the simple pleasure and beauty of bathing.
