From Guillermo Espinosa’s article for Exit Media:

Between approximately 2003 and 2010, the photographer Robert Voit (Erlangen, Germany, 1969) released a series of photographs which, in the future, catapulted him into the international photography scene and also converted him into a hero of environmentalism and a myth of landscape photography, to show an unprecedented reality until now. This series based on Carrera has a more compromised photograph, focused on highlighting the neoliberal contradictions in a submerged world in a medium-environmental crisis. However, not only this: at various stages, you have shaped processes of transformation of the real from the artificial that seem to pursue making you doubt the same reality as what they imitate (as happened with this series, in which many viewers assume that the images were manipulated digitally) or, at least, question the principles of an epic representation of the natural landscape when it was seen precisely transformed with the unprecedented excuse of its conservation in terms of aesthetics and visual continuity.
