From Kara Bischopink’s article for Musée Magazine:

Desire moves the soul, pulling it into states of both rationality and irrationality, balancing human nature and personal will. The complexity of desire perpetuates our understanding of the thing itself, as it can serve as both a facilitator and an inhibitor. American photographer Arthur Tress captures the raw and real as it intertwines with the beauty and danger of desire within queer society through his collection “The Ramble.” On view at CLAMP in New York City until Feb. 28, Tress explores the threshold of queer identity and homoerotic desire. The collection, consisting mostly of unseen photographs, captures Tress’s experience while exploring the Ramble, a small geographic area located in a corner of Central Park.
