Human Structures and the Light of Consciousness

Jonathan Borofsky is an American sculptor and printmaker born in 1942. He is known for his large-scale public sculptures, often featuring simplified human figures and themes of emotional and spiritual consciousness. Key works include his “Hammering Man” and “Molecule Man” sculptures, which are installed in major cities worldwide. Borofsky’s art is often seen as a bridge between Minimalism and Pop Art, and he is also known for a personal practice of “counting” and inscribing a running number on each of his works.
