From Musée Magazine:

Flowers Drink the River, on view from March 7 to May 3, 2025, at CLAMP, is Pia Paulina Guilmoth’s debut solo exhibition with the gallery, presenting a raw, intimate photographic exploration of her early gender transition while living in rural Maine. Through large-format images filled with nocturnal animals, ritualistic tableaux, and haunting landscapes, Guilmoth weaves themes of transformation, survival, and queer kinship. Her collaborative, meditative process—building trust with both her human and animal subjects—yields deeply personal portraits that blur the lines between land and body, joy and threat. Defying traditional documentary norms, this work offers an insider’s view of trans and queer life in hostile terrain, celebrating resilience, beauty, and the defiant act of existence.
