ARTIST

Charlie White (b. 1972, Philadelphia, PA) is an American photographer and filmmaker whose work explores themes of adolescence, identity, and popular culture through staged, cinematic images. Combining photography, video, and installation, his practice examines social narratives and the construction of self in contemporary America. White holds an MFA from the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena and is a Professor of Fine Art at the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Art and Design. His work has been exhibited internationally since 1999 and is included in public collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
