Ron van Dongen (b. 1961, Judibana, Venezuela) is celebrated for his refined botanical photography. Raised in the Netherlands and later based in the United States, van Dongen cultivates many of his subjects in his own garden, photographing flowers and plants with an acute sensitivity to light, form, and tone. His intimate studies—rendered in both black-and-white and color—transform natural specimens into meditations on beauty, impermanence, and design.
