Sarah Pickering (b. 1972) is a British photographic artist whose works deals with themes of falsity and deception. Pickering uses photography for staging, observing, performing, and facilitating in order to examine and explore mediated versions of reality. Central to her imagery is an intense scrutiny of issues raised by fakes, tests, hierarchy, class, science-fiction, explosions, and gunfire.
