Willi Ninja was a dancer and choreographer who is known as the “godfather” of vogueing. Willi founded the House of Ninja in 1982, and notably allowed members of all races and sexual orientations to join the house, which was uniquely inclusive for the ballroom scene at the time. Willi passed away from AIDS complications in 2006.
