Charlie White is an American visual artist known for his conceptual photographs and films that explore themes of identity, adolescence, and American culture. His work often combines staged imagery with cinematic precision, blurring the line between reality and fiction. White has exhibited internationally, with solo shows at institutions such as the Hammer Museum and the Reykjavik Art Museum, and his work is held in the permanent collections of major museums including MoMA and the Whitney. He has also written and lectured extensively on media, representation, and the psychology of the image. White is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and earned his MFA from Art Center College of Design, where he later served as the director of the photography program.
