Tim Gardner was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and grew up in Ontario and Manitoba in Canada. After graduating from Fort Richmond Collegiate in Winnipeg, he received a BFA from the University of Manitoba in 1996 followed by an MFA from Columbia University, New York in 1999.
His work in oil, watercolor, pastel, and drawing, touches on several genres such as portraiture, landscape, still life, and scenes from everyday life.
