Lucas Foglia grew up with his extended family on a small farm in the suburbs of New York City. While his family followed many principles of the back-to-the-land movement, they mixed the modern world into their our otherwise rustic life.
From 2006 through 2010, the artist traveled throughout the southeastern United States working on his series “A Natural Order.” He befriended and photographed people who left cities and suburbs to live off the grid.
