ARTIST

Ira C. Smith is an American illustrator and drawer whose evocative, highly finished pencil and ink works explore gay erotica, bondage, and the male figure. Emerging in the early 1990s through contributions to erotic magazines, Smith’s finely rendered compositions—often based on live models or photographic references—have since entered the collections of the Tom of Finland Foundation and the Leslie Lohman Gay Art Foundation and have shown widely across the U.S. and Europe.
