Ernesto Edwards

Ernesto Edwards was a member of the circle of the San Francisco poet Robert Duncan and his life partner, the artist Jess. Edwards showed at the legendary Buzz Gallery, and was a major figure in the San Francisco queer vanguard. Buzz Gallery was a venue utilized by marginalized queer artists who could not show in more mainstream galleries due to prejudice and fear of arrest for homoerotic content.
