Michael Kenna

Michael Kenna is best known for his unique black-and-white landscape photography. His work features ethereal light achieved by photographing at dawn or at night with exposures of up to ten hours. His photographs concentrate on the interaction between ephemeral atmospheric conditions of the natural landscape and human-made structures and sculptural mass. Over twenty books have been published of his work.
