Raymond Pettibon came to prominence in the early 1980s in the Los Angeles punk rock scene, creating zines, flyers, and album art for local bands, including the punk band Black Flag. The artist has since gone on to achieve international acclaim, and is now regarded as one of the foremost American contemporary artists working with drawing, text, and artist’s books.
