Larry Fink was a professional photographer for over forty-five years. He mounted solo shows at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and Musée de l’Elysée, Lausanne, Switzerland; among others. Along with two John Simon Guggenheim Fellowships in 1976 and 1979, two National Endowments for the Arts, Individual Photography Fellowships in 1978 and 1986, he was also awarded an honorary doctorate from the College for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design, Detroit in 2002.
