Francesca Woodman was an American photographer born in Denver, Colorado, who is best known for her black-and-white self portraits. Although Woodman’s career was cut short by her suicide at 22 years of age, she produced hundreds of sophisticated prints. Woodman graduated from The Rhode Island School of Design and has had numerous solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the Foundation Cartier in Paris, and many others.
