Lyle Ashton Harris

Lyle Ashton Harris is an American artist whose artistic practice ranges from photographic media, collage, installation art and performance art. Harris comments on societal constructs of sexuality and race, while exploring his own identity as a queer, black man through his art.

David Salle

David Salle (b. 1952) is an American painter, printmaker, and photographer. He lives and works in East Hampton, New York. He earned a BFA and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, California, where he studied with artist John Baldessari. His paintings first came to public attention in the early 1980s in New York City. Salle states his intention for his canvases is to eliminate any narrative, though one might attempt to decipher a story from his odd juxtaposition of seemingly random imagery.
