The print, Untitled (Head of Timothy Leary), by Dana Schutz references the 1996 film, “Timothy Leary’s Dead,” which contains a scene in which the psychologist’s head has been removed and placed upon ice. In Schutz’s portrayal here, the head is caricature-like and somewhat self-referentially displayed as a piece of art.
