Monica Merva (b. 1969) is an American photographer whose work explores themes of family, memory, and intimacy through portraiture and narrative series. Her projects include “The City of Children,” documenting life in a Hungarian children’s home, and “Origin of Emotions,” a personal exploration of her own family. Her photographs have been exhibited internationally and are held in collections including The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; George Eastman Museum; and Bibliothèque nationale de France.
