Edie Fake (b. 1980)

Edie Fake’s drawings, paintings, comic books, and publications have been written about in Artforum, Artnews, Art 21, The Guardian, Hyperallergic, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. He was one of the first recipients of Printed Matter’s Awards for Artists, and his collection of comics, Gaylord Phoenix, won the 2011 Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel. Fake’s work has exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo shows at the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, New York; and Marlborough Contemporary, New York City; as well as group shows at the Museum of Art and Design, New York City; and the Institute of Art at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. Fake currently lives and works in Twentynine Palms, California.
