Novels by Jonathan Franzen and Salman Rushdie have sported covers by Marc Yankus, but his photography mostly focuses, softly, on the inherent beauty of oft unnoticed New York buildings. His digital collages have a painterly quality — before he started shooting, he trained as a painter. However, the hyperreality of his newest works might have you mistaking them for architectural renderings. The pieces are appearing under the title “The Space Between,” opening at the city’s ClampArt gallery April 3rd [2014].
