From Ed Barnas’ story for The New York Photo Review:

Ideas for photographic projects arise in various ways. Arriving late at a crowded burlesque show, Amy Touchette was forced to stand in the wings of the stage. The vantage point proved fortuitous as she was able to observe the faces of the performers – both when they faced the audience and when they turned around to the back of the stage. One performer stood out – the World Famous *BOB*. Born female, *BOB* embraces a hyper feminine persona in performance. She was attracted to the glamour of drag queens at an early age and considers herself “F2F” – a female to female impersonator.
